Our New York estate and farm, on the National Register of Historic Places, focuses on marrying the original feel of the 1835 Greek Revival estate with designer Cristy Lee’s eclectic, imaginative sensibilities. Situated on just under 30 acres, Bruyn Estate has two residential dwellings. It’s surrounded by acres of private, open-canopied woods and located just under 90 mins north of New York City, and serves as the centerpiece for Cristy Lee’s design portfolio.
Bruyn Guest House at Red Mills Farm is an 1840s pioneer cabin built at Bruyn Estate at Red Mills Farm located in town of Shawangunk in Ulster County, New York.
In 2013 we stumbled across this secluded property which had our dream home: a national registered historic farmhouse from 1835 which has become known as Bruyn House. We relocated from the hustle and bustle of Soho, Manhattan to the southern Catskills, and we're flippin' in love, over-the-moon with our new life .
We love to mix styles like modern and classic or industrial and glam-chic. Cristy Lee, The Country City Chic(k), is a designer and Colan is a media and tech startup executive.
Our new lives ONLY work as long as our friends and family want to come stay with us, and everything we do is part of a diabolic plan to get everyone to visit as much as possible. As we say here: Leave here wanting to come back, and comfortable enough to invite yourself.
