With an average height of around 150ft (maximum 300ft), it’s no wonder why the climbing areas in The Gunks are some of the best climbing in the world. It proudly bears the title of busiest rock climbing destination in the United States. It is also a major destination for rock climbers, hosting 50,000 climbers each year who enjoy more than 1,000 climbing routes
